Welcome at Shaanxi, Xi'an

The wonderful Bell Tower

Xi'an is the beautiful capital of Shaanxi district, in the centre of the country.

The city is so famous because of the ancient walls which are surrounding it and the army of terracotta warriors of Emperor Qin, which was excavated in the vicinity.

At 1974, at Lintong County, were Qin (d. 210 B.C.), the first unifier of China, is buried, the terra-cotta army was discovered. The small figures are all different with their weapons, chariots and horses.

These masterpieces of history, which are part of the Unesco World Heritage List, are to visit at the Emperors Qin’s Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum.

About 100 km east of Xi'an is Mount Huashan located, one of the Five Sacred Mountains of Taoism.
